Mountaineers Earn 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Volleyball team was named as a recipient of the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award, sponsored by Intent, for the 2024-2025 season.
The Mountaineers were one of 1,450 high school and collegiate teams to earn the accolade.
Several Mountaineers accrued academic awards throughout the year, as six student athletes, including Lauren Bodily, Quincey Coyle, Lauren DeLo, Hailey Green, Kristen McBride, and Maddy McGath earned a spot on the Fall Academic All-Big 12 Team. In addition, DeLo and Green were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
The AVCA Team Academic Award which was initiated during the 1992-93 academic year. The award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 team cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 team cumulative GPA on a 5.0 scale throughout the academic year.
