MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team (15–13, 3–13 Big 12) was defeated by No. 22 Iowa State (22–5, 12–4 Big 12) in five sets Friday evening inside Hope Coliseum on senior night. The match concluded with set scores of 25–19, 25–20, 21–25, 17–25, and 10–15.
The Mountaineers opened the match with strong offensive rhythm, securing the first two frames before faltering down the stretch in a five-set battle.
