
Mountaineers Set for Road Clash at Arizona

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team (15–13, 3–13 Big 12) will conclude its regular season schedule with a two-match road trip, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 26 against Arizona (14–12, 8–8 Big 12). First serve is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET inside the McKale Center in Tucson, Arizona.
The match will be streamed on ESPN+, while live stats are available at WVUsports.com.
Wednesday's meeting marks the third all-time contest between the Mountaineers and the Wildcats. Arizona has claimed the two previous matchups, while this will be West Virginia's first trip to Tucson.
Redshirt junior setter Alexis Finnvold stands second in the conference in service aces (52) and aces per set (0.48). Senior libero LonDynn Betts ranks fourth in total digs (415) and fifth in digs per set (3.84). Junior middle blocker Maddy McGath is fourth in hitting percentage (.340), while senior middle blocker Laila Ibrahim sits at 12th in total blocks (107.0) and 13th in blocks per set (1.08). Junior outside hitter Nina Horning stands at 21st in the conference in kills per set at 2.93.
Arizona enters Wednesday's contest following a five-set setback to Utah on Nov. 21. The Wildcats, guided by head coach Charita Stubbs in her third season at the helm, hold a 14–12 overall record with an 8–8 mark in Big 12 play. Senior outside hitter Jordan Wilson was recognized on the Big 12 Volleyball Preseason Team.
