No. 12 Mountaineers Welcome High Point Friday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 12-ranked West Virginia University women's soccer returns to Morgantown to take on High Point on Friday, Aug. 30. Kickoff at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium, is set for 7 p.m. ET.
Friday's match is Barks and Brews night at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. Fans can bring their dog to the stadium with a completed attendance waiver. Dog Day attendance waivers can be found HERE. The first 100 dogs in attendance will receive a WVU Women's Soccer tennis ball shaped in the form of a dog bone. Additionally, select beverages will be half off from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by visiting WVUGAME.com to avoid lines at the gate on game day. When purchasing in advance online, tickets are $5 each and $3 for groups of 10 or more. All tickets are general admission.
At the stadium ticket window, tickets will be $7 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors and $3 for groups on game day. The discounted online pricing will be available until kickoff of the match.
WVU students are admitted for free with a valid WVU Student I.D.

WVU enters Sunday's match with a 1-1 record in 2019 after the Mountaineers bested Duquesne, 2-0, on Aug. 23 and fell to No. 3 Stanford 3-1 on Sunday. 2,292 fans watched the Mountaineers defeat the Dukes, marking the fourth-largest crowd that has watched a women's soccer game at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
WVU is 2-0-0 all-time against High Point. Kate Schwindel scored two goals and tallied three assists to lead the Mountaineers to a 6-0 win over the Panthers in the last meeting between the two schools on Sept. 16, 2012.
High Point enters the match with an 0-2 record after falling in a pair of 1-0 decisions last weekend. Senior goalkeeper Talia Klimes leads High Point with nine saves in two starts in net.
