MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – It's a hoops heavy podcast this week! Our Dan Zangrilli visits with West Virginia coaches Bob Huggins and Mike Carey to get their thoughts on their respective teams.
Both were in Kansas City earlier this week for Big 12 media day activities.
The men will face Akron on Friday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. in a charity exhibition game to benefit the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Endowment Fund at the WVU Cancer Institute, while the women will play WVU Tech in an exhibition game the night before at 7 p.m. at the Coliseum.
The women are ranked 19th to begin the 2021-22 season.
Season tickets for the men and women are on sale through the Mountaineer Ticket Office and can be purchased by calling 1-800-WVU GAME or by logging on to WVUGAME.com.
Meanwhile, Mountaineer football returns to action this Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas, to take on TCU in a 7:30 p.m. (ET) game that will be televised nationally on ESPNU. The Mountaineer Tailgate Show will get things started at 4 p.m. on many stations throughout West Virginia.
