Dan Zangrilli joined the Mountaineer Sports Network in 2016, and he serves as the radio network’s pregame, halftime and postgame host on all football broadcasts. 
 
Additionally, Zangrilli is the play-by-play broadcaster for WVU men’s basketball Big 12 on ESPN+ broadcasts and provides radio play-by-play for WVU baseball and women’s basketball on MSN.  Dan also oversees MSN broadcast operations.  
 
Zangrilli came to WVU after a five-year stint at 93.7 The Fan (KDKA-FM) in Pittsburgh as the pregame and postgameshow host for Pittsburgh Pirates. In 2013, he headlined programming that allowed the station to be honored by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters for their coverage of the team’s historic run to the postseason. That same year, the station earned the No. 1 spot in the ratings among all listeners in the highly competitive radio market.
 
A year later, Dan provided key coverage that enabled the station to become a Marconi Award finalist for Sports Station of the Year in 2014 in a Major Market. Dan continues his work to anchor coverage of Pirates baseball broadcasts to this day. 
 
From 2010-13, he served as a sports update anchor after The Fan’s launch. From 2007-10, Zangrilli served as a sports anchor at sister station KDKA-AM 1020.
 
His play-by-play experience also includes five minor league baseball seasons with the State College Spikes and the Pirates Double-A affiliate, the Altoona Curve (2006-2010). He broadcast select football and basketball games for St. Francis (Pa.) University from 2009-12 as well.
 
He began his broadcasting career in 2001 calling high school football in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League and continues in that capacity calling the WPIAL Game of the Week on KDKA Radio.
 
The Pittsburgh, Pa native and his wife, Sarah, have one son – Luca.
