For these reasons, we need a BIG crowd behind us! A win tonight would push us into the NCAA Tournament Third Round for the second straight season and the fifth time in program history.
The NCAA Tournament is a long journey that culminates what has already been a highly successful season for your Mountaineers. We’ve been nationally ranked No. 1 in all three major polls for the last six straight weeks. We’ve posted a program-record 20 wins. We’ve swept the Big 12 Conference titles for the third time in five seasons. We’ve held opponents to just eight goals in 22 matches and posted a program-record 15 shutouts. We’ve scored goals in ways fans only thought possible on video games. We’ve accomplished so much, but the ultimate goal still remains – to punch our tickets to San Jose for the 2016 College Cup.
Help us get there, fans! Come out tonight and be the difference! You’ve done a great job all season, helping us set six top-10 attendance marks. In fact, more than 18,000 fans have seen a game LIVE at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium this year, and we rank No. 5 nationally in accumulate attendance (18,241) and No. 7 in average attendance (1,658). You’re why “Morgantown Magic” surrounds this program. You can get your tickets before the game at
WVUGAME.com or at the stadium ticket booth.
Most importantly – come out and support this great group of soccer players who proudly wear the Flying WV each week. This is a special group, and they play each week with pride and enthusiasm for our University.
As I always say…come early, stay late and cheer loudly for your No. 1-ranked Mountaineers! Kick vs. Ohio State is at 6 p.m.
See you tonight! And – Let’s Go Mountaineers!
