A New Era
Last season, coach Donny Lind navigated some late-season defeats and forward Terrell Ard Jr.'s season-ending injury to rally his team to a conference tournament championship and a First Four victory over American in the NCAA Tournament.
Lind's 23 wins were the most ever by a first-year Mount St. Mary's coach, topping the 22 established by bow-tie-wearing, Hall of Fame coach Jim Phelan in 1955.
"Coach Lind and his staff have done an incredible job with that program," West Virginia first-year coach Ross Hodge said earlier today. "His first year, they went to the NCAA Tournament and won a game."
