Promotions and Giveaways Announced for 2019 Season

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – An exciting schedule of promotions and giveaways have been announced for the 2019 West Virginia University baseball home season.
The 2019 schedule features the return of several popular promotions, including trading card giveaways, Baseball Bingo, Friday Night Happy Hour, Family Day and Kids Day. This year's giveaways are highlighted by hats (March 30 and April 20), a t-shirt (April 13) and a bobblehead (May 4).

Reoccurring theme days this season include Dollar Day, Friday Night Happy Hour, Family Day and Kids Day.
Dollar Days are set for March 8, April 3 and April 23, with tickets and select concession items available for just $1.
Friday Night Happy Hour returns for a second season in 2019, with half-off beverages available from 5:30-6:30 p.m. ET, before every Friday night home game (March 29, April 12, April 19, May 3 and May 17)).
Family Day returns for all four Big 12 Saturdays in 2019 (March 30, April 13, April 20 and May 4). Fans can purchase four tickets and receive a $10 concession voucher for just $25.
Kids Day, presented by WVU Medicine, is set for all four Big 12 Sundays (March 31, April 14, April 21, May 5). Kids day features a Kids Zone, inflatables and Mr. Twister's Balloon Art and Face Painting. Kids also can run the bases after the game.
As part of Kids Days, trading cards will be given away in four sets to the first 250 kids, 16 and under, courtesy of United Bank. Fans must come to all four games to collect the complete set, featuring all of the 2019 Mountaineers. Additionally, postgame autographs will be held on Kids Days for all fans.
Baseball Bingo also is back this season, and fans can play Baseball Bingo and win prizes at every weekday game.
The promotional schedule begins on Friday, March 8, with Dollar Day and Baseball Bingo as the Mountaineers face Kent State.
West Virginia opens Big 12 play at home against Oklahoma from March 29-31, with Friday Night Happy Hour, Family Day and Kids Day scheduled. Along with Baseball Bingo on Friday, the Saturday, March 30 contest will feature a beanie giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, courtesy of the WV Lottery.
The Backyard Brawl on Wednesday, April 3, against Pitt, is a Dollar Day, and fans also can play Baseball Bingo.
WVU hosts Texas Tech from April 12-14, with Friday Night Happy Hour, Family Day and Kids Day. On Saturday, April 13, the first 300 fans will receive an emoji t-shirt, courtesy of WVU Medicine.
Next up on the home schedule is Kansas, from April 19-21. The first 300 fans can get a WVU baseball hat, courtesy of WVU Medicine. The weekend also includes Friday Night Happy Hour, Family Day and Kids Day, along with Baseball Bingo on Friday.
The final Dollar Day is on Tuesday, April 23, when the Mountaineers host Penn State.
The Big 12 slate at home concludes against TCU from May 3-5. The series is highlighted by a bobblehead giveaway for the first 500 fans, courtesy of United Bank, on Saturday, May 4. The weekend series also includes Friday Night Happy Hour and the final Family Day and Kids Day of the season.
The second game of the Backyard Brawl will be on Tuesday, May 14, as the Pittsburgh Pirates host WVU and Pitt at PNC Park. Tickets are available at Pirates.com/CollegeBaseball, and Mountaineer fans can purchase tickets for $7 by using the promo code "WVU."
The regular season wraps up with a non-conference series against George Washington, from May 16-18. Thursday and Friday's contests will feature Baseball Bingo, and the May 17 game will be the final Friday Night Happy Hour of the year. The finale, on May 18, is Senior Day, where WVU will recognize its senior class.

The Mountaineers went 29-27 last season, with a 15-8 mark at Monongalia County Ballpark. WVU reached the Big 12 Championship semifinals for the third consecutive year.
