A big part of West Virginia's success in its first six seasons in the Big 12 has been the fan support and home field advantage at Monongalia County Ballpark. The Mountaineers went 29-27 last season, with a 15-8 mark at Monongalia County Ballpark. WVU reached the Big 12 Championship semifinals for the third consecutive year.
West Virginia's home season features weekend matchups against Big 12 opponents Oklahoma (March 29-31), Texas Tech (April 12-14), Kansas (April 19-21) and TCU (May 3-5), in addition to midweek contests against regional rivals Pitt (April 3), Penn State (April 23) and Marshall (April 30). Additional home games include a home-opening series against Kent State (March 8-10), a midweek outing vs. Youngstown State (March 19) and a series against George Washington (May 16-18) to close out the regular season. Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Kent State are all coming off NCAA Tournament appearances in 2018, with TTU reaching the College World Series.
