Our Dan Zangrilli sits down with new West Virginia University football coach Neal Brown for an exclusive interview in this week's Mountaineer Insider Podcast.
Brown was named Mountaineer football's 35thhead coach last Saturday and he comes to Morgantown after a highly successful four-year tenure at Troy where he won 35 games, three bowl championships, and the 2017 Sun Belt Conference title.
Brown is one of six coaches in FBS football to win at least 10 games in each of the last three seasons, joining such names as Swinney, Saban, Meyer, Petersen and Boise State coach Bryan Harsin.
His three-year record of 31-8 represented a .795 winning percentage – equaling UCF for the highest winning percentage nationally among non-Power 5 schools. The Trojans under Brown won 17 of their last 20 games and 22 of their last 26.
Among his 35 victories at Troy were a pair of impressive upset victories over LSU and Nebraska, and a near-miss upset of Clemson during its first NCAA championship season under Dabo Swinney in 2016.
So, what are Brown's philosophies?
What makes him tick?
Why did he choose West Virginia University?
What are his plans for Mountaineer football?
Dan covers all of that and more with Brown in this exclusive podcast that you won't want to miss!
