
Promotions and Giveaways Unveiled

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – An exciting promotional and giveaway schedule is planned for the 2018 West Virginia University baseball home season.
The promo schedule is highlighted by trading card giveaways, Friday Night Happy Hour and Baseball Bingo, along with five Family Days, four Kids Days and three Dollar Days. The giveaways in 2018 also include fleece blankets (March 27), an exclusive t-shirt (April 21) and bucket hats (April 14).

Complete 2018 Promotional Schedule | Purchase Tickets
Several promotions are new in 2018, including Friday Night Happy Hour, with half-off beverages available from 5:30-6:30 p.m. ET before every Friday night home game (April 6, 13, 20 and 27 and May 18).
Trading cards will be given away in four sets to the first 250 fans on Sunday, April 15, 22 and 29 and May 19. Fans must come to all four games to collect the complete set, featuring the entire 2018 Mountaineers. Additionally, postgame autographs will be held following these four trading card giveaway games.
Kids Day returns in 2018, with a new Kids Zone Presented by WVU Medicine Children's, featuring inflatables and Mr. Twister's Balloon Art and Face Painting. Kids also can run the bases after the game. Kids Days are set for Sunday, April 8, 15, 22 and 28.
Baseball Bingo also is back this season, and with an expanded schedule. Fans can play Baseball Bingo and win prizes at every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday game.
Dollar Days are set for the home opener on March 16, March 20 and May 15, with tickets and select concession items available for just $1.
Family Days, where fans can purchase four tickets and receive a $10 concession voucher for just $25, are set for Saturday April 7, 14, 21 and 28 and May 19.
The promotional slate begins with a Dollar Day and Baseball Bingo for WVU's home opener on Friday, March 16, vs. Canisius. The following day, Saturday, March 17, will feature $5 tickets on game day and a flash sale, where fans can purchase tickets to any game this season for just $5 by using the promo code LUCKY on WVUGAME.com/Promo.
The second Dollar Day of the season is set for Tuesday, March 20, as the Mountaineers host La Salle.
West Virginia's home schedule continues on Tuesday, March 27, with the Backyard Brawl vs. Pitt at 6:30 p.m. ET. Promotions include a fleece blanket giveaway for the first 200 fans, while all fans get to play Baseball Bingo.
From April 6-8, the Mountaineers welcome UNLV to Morgantown. The series begins with Friday Night Happy Hour before the 6:30 p.m. opener, along with Baseball Bingo. On Saturday, April 7, fans can watch the WVU football spring game, at 1 p.m., and the baseball game, at 4 p.m., with a special combo ticket for just $15. April 7 also is Family Day. The series concludes on April 8 at 1 p.m., with the first Kids Day of the year.
After a midweek trip to PNC Park to face Penn State on April 10, WVU opens Big 12 play at home vs. Oklahoma State, from April 13-15. A Gold Rush, Friday Night Happy Hour and Baseball Bingo gets the weekend started on Friday, April 13, with a 6:30 p.m. first pitch. Bucket hats, courtesy of Coca-Cola, will be given away to the first 1,000 fans before Saturday's 4 p.m. contest, which also is Family Day. The first trading card giveaway of the season, along with Kids Day and postgame autographs, is set for Sunday, April 15, at 1 p.m.
The next weekend, the Mountaineers host Kansas State, from April 20-22. Friday Night Happy Hour and Baseball Bingo is followed by a True Blue contest on Saturday, April 21, at 4 p.m. An exclusive WVU baseball t-shirt will be given away to the first 500 fans on Saturday, while 3,000 blue shakers also will be given away. It also is Family Day and Social Media Night. The series vs. the Wildcats concludes with the second trading card giveaway, Kids Day and postgame autographs on Sunday, April 22, at 1 p.m.

The Mountaineers welcome Maryland to Monongalia County Ballpark on May 1, at 6:30 p.m. in a rematch of last year's NCAA Regional. Along with Baseball Bingo, it is Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night. With a WVU ID, faculty and staff can purchase tickets for just $3 on game day.
A Gold Rush is set for Wednesday, May 9, as WVU hosts Virginia Tech at 6:30 p.m. Fans also can play Baseball Bingo.

The fan support and home field advantage at Monongalia County Ballpark has been a big part of the Mountaineers' success in their first five seasons in the Big 12 Conference. That reached record-setting levels in 2017, as a total of 40,616 fans, an average of 1,846 per game, filled the stands, both program records. Mountaineer Nation helped WVU to a series win over No. 3 TCU and victories over No. 4 Texas Tech, Pitt and Marshall, wins that helped lead WVU back to the NCAA Tournament.
