MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Season tickets and mini-packages for the 2018 West Virginia University baseball season are on sale now. Fans can join the excitement of WVU baseball and contribute to the home field advantage at Monongalia County Ballpark by purchasing tickets at WVUGAME.com, calling 1-800-WVU GAME or visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office at the WVU Coliseum.
Record-breaking crowds at home last year played a crucial role in helping the Mountaineers earn an NCAA Tournament berth in 2017, and that support again in 2018 will be critical as WVU looks to make a return trip to the postseason.
Priority season tickets are available to 2017-18 Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC) members and 2017 WVU baseball season ticket holders. Fans can keep their previous seat locations by renewing by Jan. 15. Fans also can purchase new season tickets at this time.
To order 2018 baseball season tickets, call 1-800-WVU GAME, visit WVUGAME.com or stop by the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum.
For the 23-game home schedule, season tickets are $135 each for reserved seating in the five sections behind home plate, and $110 for reserved seating behind the first and third base dugouts. WVU faculty and staff members can purchase tickets at a discounted rate of $110 behind home plate and $90 behind the dugouts. Discounted tickets for faculty and staff can only be purchased in person or via phone.
Three different mini-packages also are available. The flex mini pack, Friday night lights mini pack and the Mountaineer mini pack gives fans an opportunity to purchase tickets below single-game prices for anywhere between four and 10 games.
The flex mini package is 10 tickets for $50. The package allows fans to purchase 10 tickets and use them at any combination of games. Specific seat locations will be redeemable at the gate on game days on a first come, first serve basis.
The Friday night lights mini pack includes tickets to all four Friday Big 12 games. The package is $24 for seats behind home plate and $20 behind the dugouts.
The Mountaineer mini pack features tickets to each Saturday Big 12 contest in addition to midweek outings against rivals Pitt and Virginia Tech. The six-game package costs $36 behind home plate and $30 behind the dugouts.
Seat locations for season tickets will be allocated based on MAC annual giving level and priority points rank within your giving level. Seat locations will be assigned to non-MAC members following the completion of the priority allocation process.
Coming off their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 21 years, the Mountaineers will play 23 home games at Monongalia County Ballpark in 2018. The home slate includes games against Big 12 foes Oklahoma State (April 13-15), Kansas State (April 20-22), Texas (April 27-29) and Baylor (May 17-19), along with regional rivals Pitt (March 27), Maryland (May 1), Virginia Tech (May 9) and Marshall (May 15). UT, OSU, BU and Maryland all made the NCAA Tournament last season.
A big part of the Mountaineers' success in their first five seasons in the Big 12 has been the support and home field advantage at Monongalia County Ballpark. That reached record-setting levels in 2017, as a total of 40,616 fans, an average of 1,846 per game, filled the stands, both program records. Mountaineer Nation helped WVU to a series win over No. 3 TCU and victories over No. 4 Texas Tech, Pitt, and Marshall, wins that helped lead WVU back to the NCAA Tournament.
The complete 2018 schedule, with game times, can be found on the baseball schedule page on WVUsports.com. A printable PDF of the schedule is also available on WVUsports.com. All dates and times are subject to change, and fans are encouraged to stay tuned to WVUsports.com for additional updates.
