MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team concludes its fall season with the Backyard Brawl on Friday, Oct. 26, with first pitch set for 6 p.m. ET.
Admission will be free for all fans at Monongalia County Ballpark.
For fans unable to attend the game, updates will be available on social media by following WVU Baseball on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
In the Mountaineers' oldest and most-played rivalry, WVU is 107-88 all-time in the regular season against Pitt. West Virginia has won four in a row in the series and nine of the last 12, after a 12-1 win in the lone matchup last season.
WVU's 2018 fall roster features 22 players from last year's team and 15 newcomers. Eight returners were All-Big 12 Team honorees in 2018, including senior right fielder Darius Hill, who was named to the ABCA East All-Region First Team and the All-Big 12 Second Team.
The 15 newcomers were part of the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history, which was rated No. 26 by Perfect Game.
The Mountaineers are coming off a 29-27 season in 2018, and they advanced to the Big 12 Championship semifinals for the third consecutive year. West Virginia earned an All-America accolade for the fourth consecutive season, while four Mountaineers were selected in the 2018 MLB Draft.
