Jimmy DelGatto returned to WVU as its Director of Facilities & Operations in August 2022. In this role, he oversees the day-to-day operations for West Virginia’s facilities and outside events, specifically working with women’s basketball, golf, men’s soccer and volleyball, as well as assisting with football.
Last year, DelGatto worked at Ohio State University where he was an assistant director of event management, focusing on baseball, men’s and women’s golf and rowing. During his brief tenure in Columbus, he oversaw the 15-team NCAA men’s golf regional and also created signage and managed fan entry during the Buckeye Country Superfest.
Prior to Ohio State, DelGatto spent two years at WVU as its graduate assistant in facilities & operations while earning a master’s degree in Sport Management.
His professional experience also includes stints at the University of Penn from 2018-20, and Rutgers University in 2018 before earning his degree in Sport Management from Temple University in 2020.
The Sayreville, New Jersey, native is a member of the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA).
He resides in Morgantown.
