Anthony Vellucci joined athletics in July 2022 as assistant director of facilities and operations. In this role, Vellucci assists in the daily facility operations for West Virginia University’s 18 intercollegiate sports with an emphasis on women’s soccer, gymnastics and baseball.
Vellucci comes to WVU from Ohio State where he spent 2021 as an event management intern for men’s and women’s gymnastics, baseball and softball.
The Mansfield, Ohio, native’s professional experience also includes stints at the Columbus Recreation and Parks Sports Department, the University of Toledo athletic development office and the Bowling Green ticket office as a student assistant worker.
He served as Nebraska’s team host for the 2021 Women’s Volleyball Final Four in Columbus and was the assistant championship manager for the 2022 Big Ten Women’s Gymnastics Championship.
Vellucci earned his bachelor’s degree in education, sport management from Bowling Green in 2020 and earned his master’s degree in kinesiology, sport management from The Ohio State University in 2022.
He resides in Morgantown.
