Pozos Earns Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Pablo Pozos of the West Virginia University men's soccer team has been named the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week.

In two games, Pozos collected three goals and two assists. He converted a penalty to open the week against George Mason as the Mountaineers defeated the Patriots, 2-1. To close out the week, the Madrid native scored two goals and had two assists in a 5-0 win over Denver.

It is the second time in his career that Pozos has taken home Sun Belt honors after also winning it on Aug. 26, 2025. Overall, it is the eighth time overall that a Mountaineer has earned Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week, the first since Marcus Caldeira on Sept. 2, 2025.

The Mountaineers will be back on the pitch this Thursday, Sept. 17, against Georgia State to open Sun Belt play. Kickoff from Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
