
West Virginia Set to Host Ohio for Home Opener

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 24 West Virginia University baseball team is set for its home opener against Ohio, Wednesday afternoon at Kendrick Family Ballpark. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
Tickets are available at WVUGame.com, by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME or visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office at Kendrick Family Ballpark. Student tickets are free with a WVU ID. Fans can watch the game on ESPN+ and can follow with live stats at WVUsports.com.
West Virginia is 5-1 on the season after taking two of three at Liberty this past weekend. The Mountaineers pitched two shutouts in the series and allowed just eight hits in three games.
Graduate student Brodie Kresser leads the team with a .538 batting average followed by sophomore Matt Ineich at .476. Senior Matthew Graveline has two home runs while senior Paul Schoenfeld leads the squad with eight RBI. Juniors Tyrus Hall and Armani Guzman each have four stolen bases to pace the team.

Led by first year head coach, Andrew See, Ohio was picked 11th in the preseason MAC Coaches Poll. The Bobcats are 1-6 this season with a win over 2025 CWS participant Murray State.
Will Henson leads the team with a .414 batting average while Cameron Boyd has two home runs. Landon Price has been the top pitcher on the team with no runs allowed in 4.2 innings.
