MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Freshman Michael Baldwin of the West Virginia University wrestling team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
Baldwin (174) earned his first career win over a ranked opponent in his first dual appearance on Saturday.
Baldwin beat Wyoming's No. 28 Riley Davis by decision, 3-2.
His victory helped the Mountaineers earn their second consecutive win over a ranked opponent, as WVU beat No. 23 Wyoming, 21-15.
