MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 13 West Virginia University men's soccer team welcomes No. 11 High Point for a marquee non-conference matchup on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Kickoff from Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

The Mountaineers are 5-1-1 on the season and have won three straight games, most recently collecting a 2-1 victory over James Madison to open Sun Belt Conference play. Junior
Pablo Pozos scored his Sun Belt-leading seventh goal of the season while senior
Marcus Caldeira scored his fifth goal and tallied his sixth assist of the season, most in the Sun Belt.
Overall, West Virginia is ninth in the country in scoring, averaging 2.71 goals per game as well as sixth with 3.14 assists per contest. Both marks lead the Sun Belt.
High Point is led by seventh-year head coach Zach Haines, who is 70-29-17 during his tenure. The Panthers are 5-0-2 this season and are coming off a 3-1 win over Presbyterian.
The Panthers were picked to win the Big South in the preseason coaches poll and have won two straight regular-season titles. Brendan Krueger was named the Big South Preseason Offensive Player of the Year while Jefferson Amaya was named the Preseason Midfielder of the Year.
