
DAC Energy Donates $100,000 in Men’s Basketball Tickets

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, in conjunction with the Mountaineer Athletic Club, has announced a contribution from DAC Energy to purchase $100,000 worth of WVU men's basketball tickets to be distributed into the communities of West Virginia.
DAC Energy, based in Alma, West Virginia, is helping to make Mountaineer basketball accessible to West Virginians. Founded by Ken and Jennifer Mason, DAC Energy's commitment to West Virginia runs deep. The Masons are passionate about ensuring that financial barriers don't stand in the way of families, youth groups and community members experiencing the excitement of WVU sports.
"Jennfier and I have lived in West Virginia our entire lives and have been blessed in many ways by our state and its people. We, alongside our employees, think it is important for everyone, no matter their situation, to be able to enjoy WVU Sports," Ken Mason said. "We look forward to seeing the seats full and the Coliseum in full force for Coach Hodge and the team this season."

He has been a past director, chairman and leader of the West Virginia Independent Oil and Gas Association (IOGA), the Environmental and Safety Committee, the West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association and the Independent Producers Association.
In 2007, the Masons developed a student-oriented oil and gas well project to benefit WVU academically and financially. the Mountaineer Athletic Club and longtime WVU football and men's basketball season ticket holders. Their past generosity and support to the Mountain State also includes the WVU Cancer Institute, the WVU Eye Institute, and the WVU Hearts Of Gold Program.
"Ken and Jennifer Mason are lifelong residents of this great state and never hesitate to help make it better for all," WVU Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker said. "We are very appreciative of this kind gift that has the potential to introduce Mountaineer basketball to an entire new generation of fans."
