MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Former forward
Jaydah Bedoya of the West Virginia University women's soccer team has been called up to participate in a training camp with the Ecuador National Team.
Bedoya travels to Uruguay from Feb. 15 – 28 to participate in a team training camp with the Ecuador National Team in preparation for Copa America 2024 later this summer. The squad will play in two friendly matches against the Uruguay National Team at the end of the month.
Hailing from New Bedford, Massachusetts, Bedoya joined the Mountaineer women's soccer team last spring after spending her first three seasons at UConn. She played her senior season at WVU in the fall, appearing in all 18 matches during the campaign. Bedoya finished the season with 302 minutes, including a season-high 41 against Saint Francis (Pa.) on Aug. 20.
A communication studies major, Bedoya is set to graduate with her bachelor's degree from WVU in May.
