Izzo-Brown Announces Pair of Additions to Spring Roster

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women's soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown has announced the addition of two student-athletes who will join the Mountaineers' roster for the 2025 spring season.
 
Joining WVU are Anna Hauer (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) and Alexis Pashales (Henderson, Nev.).
 
Anna Hauer / Midfielder/Forward / Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Hauer hails from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and arrives in Morgantown from Memphis, where she spent two seasons playing for the Tigers. As a sophomore this past season, she started all 19 matches and finished the 2024 campaign with four goals and four assists for 12 points on the year. Hauer also has five career game-winning goals and two career braces to her name. During her freshman campaign in 2023, she was honored as the AAC Co-Rookie of the Year at season's end. She made 20 starts and played in all 22 matches as a freshman, ranking third on the team with eight goals. Hauer's accolades at Memphis include a two-time member of the All-AAC Second Team, three AAC weekly honors and a nod on the 2024 AAC All-Tournament Team. Prior to her time at Memphis, Hauer attended Burnaby Central Secondary School and played club soccer for the Vancouver Whitecaps Girls Elite REX Program. She was part of the U-17 Canadian National Team that competed and placed third in the 2022 Women's CONCACAF Tournament in the Dominican Republic and qualified for the 2022 Women's World Cup in India. She also helped the Vancouver Whitecaps Elite REX to its first-ever League 1 BC Inaugural Women's Championship and was selected to Team Alberta for the 2022 Canadian Games held in Niagara. The daughter of Darryl and Trina, Hauer plans to major in sport management at WVU.
 
Alexis Pashales / Midfielder / Henderson, Nevada
A Henderson, Nevada, native, Pashales arrives at WVU following a three-year stint at the University of the Pacific, where she notched 13 career goals and five career assists for 31 career points. As a junior this past season, she started all 20 matches and led the team with 11 points, scoring five goals and adding one assist. She also led the team with 1,565 minutes before going on to be named All-WCC Honorable Mention for the second time in her career. Pashales earned her first career honorable mention nod as a sophomore, after ranking second on the team in scoring with 17 points, seven goals and three assists. Before arriving at Pacific, Pashales attended Coronado High School and played club soccer for Las Vegas Sports Academy. Pashales' high school accolades include the 2022 Nevada State Gatorade Player of the Year, 2022 Coronado High School Athlete of the Year and 2021 Coronado Offensive Player of the Year and team MVP. She also was named the Southern Nevada HS Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year in 2021. Additionally, Pashales was recognized on the USYS National Championship Best XI teams in 2018 and 2019. The daughter of John and Terra, Pashales plans to major in public health at WVU.
