
WVU Claims No. 24 Spot in NWCA Division I Coaches Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Following a sweep of Kent State (44-3), Cleveland State (33-9) and Duke (40-6) over the weekend, the West Virginia University wrestling team enters this week's NWCA Division I Coaches Poll ranked No. 24.
It marks WVU's first appearance in the NWCA Top 25 since the start of the second half of last season (January 16, 2023), when the squad reached as high as No. 23 in the rankings.
What's more, nine Mountaineers remain ranked in the third edition of this season's FloWrestling rankings – No. 24 Jett Strickenberger (125), No. 19 Jordan Titus (141), No. 17 Ty Watters (149), No. 24 Caleb Dowling (157), No. 21 Peyton Hall (165), No. 28 Brody Conley (174), No. 21 Dennis Robin (184), No. 29 Austin Cooley (197) and No. 23 Michael Wolfgram (HWT).
Tickets to see West Virginia clash with No. 20 Oklahoma (Dec. 3), No. 11 Oklahoma State (Jan. 14) and No. 4 Missouri (Jan. 26) inside the WVU Coliseum are still available, as fans can purchase them by visiting WVUGAME.com, calling 1-800-WVU-GAME, or stopping by the Mountaineer Ticket Office at the Gold Gate of the Coliseum.
The Mountaineers look to continue their success in the team's first road dual of the season against Clarion on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
