West Virginia Splits Doubleheader
February 26, 2022 08:31 PM | Tennis
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team (6-4, 0-0 Big 12) split the day, 1-1, as they played host to George Washington and Toledo, topping the Colonials, 5-2, before falling short to the Rockets, 4-3, in Morgantown at the Summit Tennis Academy.
"It was a tough doubleheader for our team today," Mountaineer coach Miha Lisac said. "We battled well, but we lacked taking care of business in some of our matches. There were a lot of things that worked against us today, but we were still able to come out on top against George Washington.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen in the second match and we will use the lessons from today to help us get better, improve and prepare for the upcoming matches next weekend."
