
Mountaineers Come Up Short in Tight Match Against No. 35 Arizona

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team (6-9, 0-8 Big 12) dropped a tightly contested 4-1 decision to No. 35 Arizona (13-8, 4-3 Big 12) on Saturday morning at the Summit Tennis Academy.
Despite the final score, the Mountaineers pushed the Wildcats across the lineup, with multiple matches extending deep into deciding sets and several courts left unfinished at the time of the clinch.
Arizona secured the doubles point with wins on courts two and three, while the match on court one was nearing completion before going unfinished.
