"It was special in that locker room (following last Saturday's win)," West Virginia coach
Neal Brown said. "There is so much investment by the staff, the players and the whole support group, so to go into the locker room and be able to celebrate was special; to become the first team that's ever beaten Oklahoma since joining the Big 12 made it that much sweeter."

"They're very good, and I think they're playing their best football of the year right now," Brown said. "They're good on offense, defense and special teams and they're in the top 20 in the country for a reason."
Last year, Kansas State snapped West Virginia's five-game winning streak in the series with a 34-17 victory in Manhattan. Vaughn ran 25 times for 121 yards and scored a touchdown and the Wildcats limited WVU's ground game to just 77 yards on 26 attempts.

West Virginia is still in contention to become bowl eligible if it can win its remaining two games of the regular season against Kansas State and Oklahoma State.
The rest of this week's Big 12 schedule features TCU at Baylor, Texas at Kansas, Texas Tech at Iowa State and Oklahoma State at Oklahoma in the annual Bedlam game.
