
Tickets On Sale Now for Backyard Brawl at PNC Park

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Tickets are on sale now for the West Virginia University baseball team's game at PNC Park against Pitt on Tuesday, May 14.
Tickets are available at Pirates.com/CollegeBaseball. Mountaineer fans can purchase tickets for $7 by using the promo code "WVU."
The Backyard Brawl matchup at the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates is set for a 6 p.m. ET first pitch.
This season's contest marks the third consecutive year West Virginia will play at PNC Park, and the first time the Backyard Brawl will be played at the ballpark.
The Mountaineers are 2-0 at PNC Park, with a 4-2 win against Penn State in 2017 and a 3-2, 10-inning walk-off win vs. PSU last season.
The 2019 game in Pittsburgh will mark the fourth consecutive year the Mountaineers will play at a Major League facility. In 2016, they faced the Arizona Diamondbacks in an exhibition contest at Salt River Fields, Arizona's Spring Training ballpark.
In WVU's oldest and most-played rivalry, West Virginia is 107-88 all-time against Pitt. The Mountaineers have won four in a row in the series and nine of the last 12, after a 12-1 win in Morgantown in 2018. The two teams first met in 1895, and have played at least once every season since 2008. In addition to May 14 at PNC Park, the two teams will square off on April 3, in Morgantown.
The meeting with Pitt is part of WVU's 53-game schedule, which features 22 home games at Monongalia County Ballpark and 23 games against teams that made the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
