MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 23-ranked West Virginia University women's soccer team opens a three-match Big 12 Conference homestand at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium against Kansas State on Friday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m.
It's Mental Health Awareness Night, and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a team wristband. Happy Hour at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium also will debut Friday night, with half-priced beverages available from 6-7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by visiting WVUGAME.com to avoid lines at the gate on game night. When purchasing in advance online, tickets are $5 each and $3 for groups of 10 or more. All tickets are general admission.
At the stadium ticket window, tickets will be $7 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors and $3 for groups on game day. The discounted online pricing will be available until kickoff of the match.
WVU students are admitted for free with a valid WVU Student I.D.

The Mountaineers (6-2-3, 2-0) ride a five-match win streak into Friday's contest, WVU's best win streak since winning 14 consecutive matches in 2016. The last four victories have all been shutouts, WVU's longest shutout streak since posting 10 consecutive clean sheets in 2016.

Nikki Izzo-Brown said. "It's never easy going on the road, and we sure hope everyone is behind us. Mountaineer Nation has never let us down.
"We need to get better every day and bring the intensity. This K-State game is huge for us, and it's the biggest game we have. We're going to give everything we have to a tough K-State team. They disrupt teams and have an energy about them. We know they're going to be prepared, organized and ready to battle."
K-State (4-5-2, 0-2), new to conference play last season, makes its first-ever trip to Morgantown Friday. WVU earned the victory in the first meeting, a 1-0 win in Manhattan, Kansas, Sept. 29, 2017.
The Mountaineers are unbeaten in their last 39 home conference matches, the longest unbeaten streak in Big 12 history and the third-longest active streak nationally.
WVU opened Big 12 play with a pair of 2-0 road wins last weekend, defeating No. 22 Texas Tech on Sept. 21 and No. 21 TCU on Sept. 23. The back-to-back victories against ranked foes were the team's first since 2016.
Sophomore midfielder
Stefany Ferrer-vanGinkel has had the hot foot as of late, tallying five goals in the last five matches. She paces the Mountaineers with 11 points (5 G, 1 A) and ranks No. 9 in the Big 12 with a 1.00 points/game average.
Senior
Sh'Nia Gordon has scored two of WVU's last three game-winning goals, including the decisive goal at TCU just 0:25 into the match for the Mountaineers' fastest goal in program history. She ranks No. 2 on the team with six points (3 G) and No. 78 nationally with two game-winners.
The WVU defense ranks No. 21 nationally, No. 2 in the Big 12, with a 0.514 goals-against average (GAA). The Mountaineers show six clean sheets, five credited to junior
Rylee Foster, and have allowed just one shot on-goal since Sept. 7. Foster ranks No. 28 nationally, No. 2 in the Big 12, with a 0.529 GAA.
K-State is unbeaten in its last three road matches, its longest streak since the program's start in 2016. The Wildcats opened Big 12 Conference play with home losses to No. 15 Oklahoma State (1-3, Sept. 21) and Oklahoma (0-1, Sept. 23).
Junior forward Katie Cramer paces the Wildcats' attack with seven points (2 G, 3 A). Sophomore midfielder Brookelynn Entz ranks No. 2 with six points (2 G, 2 A). Both players show one game-winning goal.
The Wildcats rank No. 76 nationally, No. 7 in the Big 12, with a 0.874 GAA. Sophomore Emma Malsy has played all 11 matches between the posts, allowing 10 goals and posting six shutouts.
