Dan Zangrilli catches up with WVU baseball coach Randy Mazey to preview the final series of the regular season this weekend against Baylor at Monongalia County.
The Bears are one of the hottest teams in college baseball right now having won 16 of their last 18 games and bringing a 30-18 overall record into Morgantown. West Virginia is fighting for its postseason lives after dropping two out of three at TCU last weekend. The Mountaineers (26-23) are three games over .500 and need as many wins as they can get the rest of the way to qualify for their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
The first game of the series is scheduled for Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. with Friday's game getting underway at 6:30 and Saturday's getaway day matchup starting at 1 p.m.
Pairings for the 2018 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships, taking place May 23-27 at Chickshaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, will be revealed once Saturday's games are completed.
