Quarterback now completely out of his system, senior David Sills V is using his old quarterback instincts to become one of the most feared wide receivers in college football.
 
The follow up to his 60-catch, 980-yard, 18-touchdown junior season in 2017 has been another All-America-type campaign so far this year with 37 catches for 529 yards and nine touchdowns heading into Saturday's Texas game.
 
Sills V's 29 career touchdown catches has him tied with Tavon Austin for No. 2 in school history behind just Stedman Bailey.
 
Last year's Biletnikoff Award finalist is certain to make the cut for the award again this year when the finalists are announced later this month.
 
Presently, Sills V and the Mountaineers have all of their preseason goals within reach as they prepare for the most difficult portion of their season with games left at Texas this weekend, at home against TCU on Nov. 10, at Oklahoma State on Nov. 17 and then back to Morgantown for seventh-ranked Oklahoma on Friday, Nov. 23.
