WVU Plays at PNC Park on May 10

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 3, 2017) – The West Virginia University baseball team will play Penn State at PNC Park one week from tonight, on Wednesday, May 10, at 7 p.m. ET.
Tickets for the game are available now, at Pirates.com/CollegeBaseball. Fans can use the promo code “WVU” to get tickets for just $7 in advance. On gameday, tickets will be $10.
A pregame party is planned at McFadden’s, across the street from PNC Park at 211 North Shore Drive, in Pittsburgh. The event will begin at 5 p.m. ET, and is coordinated by the Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC). All fans are welcome to attend.
The game marks WVU’s first at PNC Park, the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Mountaineers’ last game at the Pirates’ home ballpark was in 1998, a 9-8 win over rival Pitt at Three Rivers Stadium.
West Virginia’s visit to PNC Park is the second time in as many years WVU will take the field at the home of an MLB club. Last year, the Mountaineers played an exhibition contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Feb. 29, 2016, a 7-4 loss at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, the Diamondbacks’ Spring Training home.
The WVU-PSU contest in Pittsburgh is the second in a two-game series for the two teams. The series opens at Monongalia County Ballpark in Morgantown, on Tuesday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m.
