Mountaineers Lose to Pitt

Pitt was in control of the game from the beginning, scoring a run in the first before blowing it open with seven in the second, eight in the third, three in the fourth and fifth, and one in the sixth. The Mountaineers scored their lone run in the fourth on a wild pitch.
West Virginia will return to Big 12 play this weekend at Cincinnati. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 6 p.m.
