Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The West Virginia University men's soccer team went on the road and earned its eighth clean sheet of the season with a 0-0 draw in double overtime at Bowling Green on Saturday night.
Freshman goalkeeper
Steven Tekesky made a career-best three saves and picked up his second shutout of his career as the Mountaineers (7-3-4, 0-0-2 Mid-American Conference) earned a point in the MAC standings. WVU out-shot the Falcons (6-6-1, 0-1-1 MAC), 10-6, while West Virginia had two shots on goal.
"You go on the road, it's always going to be tough, and Bowling Green is a grind-it-out team, and they really made us grind tonight," WVU coach
Marlon LeBlanc said. "We had a lot of the ball and a lot of good possession. We had two unbelievable chances there and just missed the frame and missed chances to score. I thought our approach was right, we put them under a lot of pressure and really limited them to set pieces and throw-ins. I thought we were in control of the game and just didn't take our chances very well tonight. It's a point on the road in a tough conference game, and we'll look to move forward, have a good week of training and get ready for one of the top teams in the country in Western Michigan at home at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium on Friday."
Junior
Rushawn Larmond and sophomore
Pascal Derwaritsch both had a team-high-tying two shots and one shot on goal. Sophomore
Ryan Kellogg also notched a pair of shots as WVU played in its fifth overtime contest.

The Falcons had chances late in the first half, but each time WVU was able to clear it and prevent any good opportunity to put a ball on net.
Sophomore

In the 86th minute, the Falcons had a great chance to score, but the shot from inside the six on a throw-in went high.
