With Week One of the NFL in the books, here’s an update of how former West Virginia University football players are doing in the pros.

Alford joins former Mountaineers Will Clarke and Adam Jones on the Cincinnati roster. The 5-foot-9 wide receiver was drafted in the seventh round by the Bengals this spring. He did not play in the Bengals’ road victory at Oakland. Cincinnati hosts San Diego on Sunday.

Tavon Austin had a strong performance for the Rams in St. Louis’ victory over defending NFC Champion Seattle last Sunday. Austin ran the ball four times for 17 yards and scored a touchdown. He also had two receptions in the victory. On special teams, Austin returned two punts for an average of 42.5 yards per run and a touchdown. Seattle visits Washington on Sunday.
Bailey caught three passes for 58 yards, including a 29-yard reception against the Seahawks. The Rams went on to defeat Seattle 34-31 last week. St. Louis visits Washington on Sunday.

Barclay made his return to Green Bay after missing the entire 2014 season due to a torn ACL. The Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, native played mostly on special teams in Green Bay’s 31-23 win at Chicago. Green Bay hosts Seattle on Sunday evening.

Selvish Capers was placed on the 1-game injured list last week in his final week with Edmonton. Capers was traded to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers a week ago. The lineman recorded two tackles and caught one pass for the Eskimos in 2014. Capers remains on the 1-game injured list with Winnipeg.

Garvin embarks on his third season with the Steelers in 2015. The linebacker re-signed with Pittsburgh in January after playing in all 16 games a year ago. Garvin has collected 27 tackles during his first two seasons. During the preseason, he ranked second on the Steelers defense with 23 tackles. The Steelers fell 28-21 to New England on Thursday evening. Pittsburgh opens the home slate against San Francisco on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Glowinski was one of Seattle’s two fourth-round draft picks in the 2015 NFL Draft. He joins former Mountaineer Bruce Irvin on the Seahawks roster. Glowinski was inactive in Sunday’s loss at St. Louis. This weekend, the Seahawks visit Green Bay for Sunday Night Football.

Johnson enters his fourth season with Pittsburgh. The 6-foot-2 full back started five games and played 16 for Pittsburgh in 2014. He opened up the 2015 season with four carries for seven yards and one touchdown at New England on Thursday. Johnson’s one-yard TD cut the Steelers’ deficit to 21-11 in the third quarter. Pittsburgh opens the home season against San Francisco on September 20.
Adam Jones led all Bengals defensive players with 10 tackles. He recorded an interception and forced a fumble in Cincinnati’s 33-13 victory at Oakland. Jones returned two punts for 23 yards in the triumph. Cincinnati hosts San Diego on Sunday.

Geno Smith returns for his third season with the Jets. Last year, he completed 219 passes for 2,525 yards and 13 touchdowns. Smith currently has a broken jaw and a timetable has not been set for his return.
Quinton Spain made the Titans’ 53-man roster after signing as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2015. Spain was listed inactive for Tennessee’s opener at Tampa Bay. The Titans visit Cleveland on Sunday.

White was drafted seventh overall by the Chicago Bears in the 2015 NFL Draft. White signed his contract in May, but suffered a setback in August. The Bears announced that White will start the regular season on the Physically Unable to Perform list due to a surgery needed to repair a stress fracture in his shin.
