MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Season tickets for the 2016 West Virginia University baseball season are on sale now. Fans can join the excitement of WVU baseball and contribute to the home field advantage at Monongalia County Ballpark by calling 1-800-WVU GAME, purchasing tickets at WVUGAME.com or visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office at the WVU Coliseum.
Priority season tickets for the Mountaineers’ second season at Monongalia County Ballpark are available to 2015-16 Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC) members and 2015 WVU baseball season ticket holders. Fans can keep their previous seat locations by renewing by Jan. 15.

For the 30-game home schedule, season tickets are $175 each for reserved seating in the five sections behind home plate, and $155 each for reserved seating behind the first and third base dugouts. WVU faculty and staff members can purchase tickets at a discounted rate.
To order 2016 baseball season tickets, call 1-800-WVU GAME, visit WVUGAME.com or stop by the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum.
“We’re excited to play 30 games at home this year,” WVU coach Randy Mazey said. “We have some great teams coming to Morgantown this season. Entering our second year at the ballpark, and with the great support of our fans, I know we can have a big home field advantage.”
The Mountaineers will play 30 home games at Monongalia County Ballpark, BaseballParks.com’s Ballpark of the Year for 2015. It is the most home games since WVU played 32 home contests in 2008. The Mountaineers play 10 games at Monongalia County Ballpark against teams that made the 2015 NCAA Tournament. West Virginia also will host six games against three teams that won their conference championships a year ago.
The 30-game home schedule includes games against reigning Big 12 Tournament champion Texas, as well as Oklahoma State, Baylor, Kansas State, Marshall, Pitt, Maryland and Virginia Tech. All but six home games, and every Big 12 game, will be played in April and May.
WVU returns to Monongalia County Ballpark after a total of 33,158 fans, an average of over 1,500 per game, cheered on the Mountaineers in the park’s inaugural season.
A steady climb in attendance in WVU’s first three seasons in the Big 12 Conference has proved a pivotal home field advantage. In the Mountaineers’ first three seasons in the league, Mazey has guided the team to a winning record at home and a Big 12 Championship berth in each season.
“I’m really looking forward to some big crowds this season,” Mazey said. “The support last season was great, and the fans again will be a big part of our home field advantage this year. We look forward to our fans joining the excitement by purchasing season tickets. It’s a great deal for the level of entertainment.”
