Jordan Brown joined the Mountaineer football staff in July 2022 as the assistant director of scouting and recruiting communications. He came to WVU after serving as a scouting apprentice for the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams for two years.

Brown assists with the organization and scouting preparation each week and is involved with all aspects of game analysis, game planning and roster management for the football program. He also is part of the recruiting team and assists with the communication efforts pertaining to the recruiting process.

While with the Rams, Brown covered the North/Northeast area, evaluating prospects in-season, and at pro days and all-star games. He oversaw more than 130 universities, while grading and updating player information in his prospective area. He evaluated and graded more than 100 FCS and lower prospects, while issuing more than 1,400 game grades.

Brown managed and communicated with prospects/agents to have necessary evaluations and assessments prepared for the draft process. He also assisted in draft strategy, while discussing draft board prospects’ strengths, weaknesses and culture fit.

Brown represented the Rams at the East-West Shrine All-Star Game, where he administered tests and evaluated prospects. He constructed and managed more than 25 mock drafts for team executives, showing where players would be selected. He evaluated pro game grades for offense and defense, while meeting with the staff to discuss trends. He also observed advance meetings involving personnel packages and tendencies for future opponents.

Brown also served as an operations coordinator for G3 ProCamps, served a football operations/personnel training camp internship for the Indianapolis Colts and was a personnel/recruiting assistant at Miami University.

Brown graduated with his bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a concentration in sports recreation and management from Truman State in Kirksville, Missouri in 2018. He was a three-time team captain and three-time All-GLVC All-Conference team and was a member of the 2017 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship.
