After seeing action at tight end and defensive end for coach Garrett Amburgey at Abingdon High, he is making the move to offensive tackle
As a senior, he helped lead Abingdon to the regional quarterfinals of the Virginia Class 3 Region/State playoffs
As a junior in 2024, he earned all-region first team honors
Was all-district first team defensive line, second team tight end, and also first-team all-region tight end and second-team all-region defensive line
Finished with 22 receptions for 234 yards as a senior and had 13 receptions for 152 yards and three touchdowns as a junior
Helped lead Abingdon to a 10-2 record in 2024, a first-place regular-season regional finish
