Drew Hefner joined the Mountaineers in July of 2023 as the Director of Player Development.
Hefner assist the team with daily activities, camp functions, and compliance logs while work primarily with the offense. He arrived in Morgantown following a one-year stint as the grad assistant at East Stroudsburg University. While at ESU he assisted the offense and catchers and was a part of a staff that compiled a record of 36-14 and a regional appearance.
The Bridgeport, West Virginia native played four years at the University of Charleston before finishing his collegiate career at East Stroudsburg in 2022. At Bridgeport High School, Hefner was the West Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year.
Hefner graduated from the University of Charleston in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and from East Stroudsburg University with a Masters in Strategic Leadership.Â
