MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men's basketball coach Ross Hodge has announced the signing of Keonte Greybear to a grant-in-aid to join the Mountaineers in 2026-27.
Greybear, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound freshman guard from Frisco, Texas, will come to Morgantown from iSchool of Lewisville in Lewisville, Texas.
"Keonte is a versatile guard with great scoring instincts and athleticism," Hodge said. "He has been well coached throughout his prep career and has played with and against high level competition. He's a high character student-athlete, and we are excited to add him to our Mountaineer basketball program."
Greybear is considered a four-star recruit by ESPN, ranking as the 24th-best point guard in the country.
Playing in the Grind Session, Greybear averaged 19.9 points per game while shooting 44% from the floor and 31% from 3-point range.
Greybear posted 43 points and 12 rebounds in a 93-90 win against Winston-Salem Christian (N.C.). He had 29 points and four assists in a 73-70 win against West Oaks (Fla.) and had 27 points, five rebounds and three steals against Gillion Academy (Va.). Greybear was named to the All-Grind Session Team.
