MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mountaineer Ticket Office in conjunction with the Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC) is launching a new program to help season ticket holders put their extra tickets in the hands of fellow Mountaineers as part of Gold Rush Returns ticket program. This program will be exclusive to lower-level men's basketball (Courtside, padded seats, and 100-level) and baseball season tickets holders.
Â
The program gives fans an opportunity to put their unused tickets in the hands of fellow Mountaineer fans, while earning valuable MAC priority points for contributing their unused tickets. Those returned tickets are then made available to other Mountaineer fans, giving them the opportunity to experience WVU Athletics and potentially access seats they may not otherwise have the chance to enjoy. Proceeds from resold tickets support WVU student-athletes and the continued success of WVU Athletics.
Â
The MAC will offer priority points for participants, with point total ranging from 5-10 points, depending on the game. Points will be allocated on a per account basis and not a per ticket basis and will vary by game type and are listed below:
Â
Here's how to return your unused tickets for points:
The deadline to return tickets will be 24 hours prior to game start time.
Â
As a note to fans who participate in the program, priority points will be updated within two weeks following the date of the event.
Â
As a reminder, fans are still able to sell their unused tickets through SeatGeek, the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of WVU Athletics.
Â
All ticket returns to the MAC are final. Once tickets are returned, fans will no longer have access to those tickets. The Mountaineer Athletic Club will not provide order credit for a returned ticket, only priority points. Returned tickets are not eligible to be exchanged or refunded in the event of a postponed or canceled baseball game.
Â
For questions regarding the Gold Rush Returns Ticket Program, please contact the MAC at 304-293-2294.
