MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Sophomore pitcher Chansen Cole of the West Virginia University baseball team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.

Cole threw 5.1 scoreless innings on Friday against Liberty to earn his first win of the season. He struck out seven while allowing just two hits. In two starts this year, he has a 2.25 ERA and 10 strikeouts.

The Mountaineers will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 25, against Ohio. First pitch from Kendrick Family Ballpark is set for 1 p.m.
