MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team fell for the first time on the road this season, 71-64, to Utah inside the Huntsman Center on Tuesday night.

Jordan Harrison scored a game-high 18 points, seven steals and eight assists, helping the Mountaineers (17–5, 7–3 Big 12) climb back into the game with a strong second half. Carter McCray added 10 points and seven rebounds, and Gia Cooke scored 11.
Utah (15–6, 6–3) used a strong first half highlighted by six second-quarter 3-pointers to build a 36–24 halftime lead and never look back.
The Mountaineers shot just 41% from the floor as Utah shot 54% and knocked down 10 threes. West Virginia won the battle on the glass, 33-29, and turned the Utes over 21 times, but never settled into the game offensively.
