MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 13 West Virginia University men's soccer team opens Sun Belt Conference action on Friday, Sept. 19, at home against James Madison. Kickoff from Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

The Mountaineers are 4-1-1 on the season and return home after two straight wins on the road at No. 22 George Mason and Longwood. Most recently against the Lancers, WVU earned a 2-0 shutout victory in Farmville, getting goals from junior Pablo Pozos and graduate student Carlos Hernando. Graduate student Marc Bonnaire made two saves to collect his third shutout of the season.
 
Pozos leads the Sun Belt and is third in the nation with six goals this season while senior Marcus Caldeira leads the conference and is third in the country with five assists. Caldeira also has four goals this season to give him 13 points, tied with Pozos for seventh most in the nation.
 
As a team, the Mountaineers are 10th in the country in scoring, averaging 2.83 goals per game and fifth with 3.50 assists per game. Both marks lead the Sun Belt.
 
James Madison is led by eighth-year head coach Paul Zazenski, who is 68-40-26 during his time in Harrisonburg. The Dukes are 0-4-1 on the season and are coming off a scoreless draw at Liberty.
 
JMU was picked sixth in the Sun Belt Preseason Coaches' Poll. Diego Ossa has the lone goal for the Dukes this season.
