
Pozos Named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Junior forward Pablo Pozos of the No. 16 West Virginia University men's soccer team has been named the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week.
Pozos had a hat trick in the season opener against Manhattan as the Mountaineers defeated the Jaspers, 5-2, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. It was the 44th hat trick in WVU history and the third by a Mountaineer in the last three seasons.
It is the sixth time that a WVU player has taken home Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week and first since Marcus Caldeira earned the honor on Oct. 15, 2024.
West Virginia will be back in action on Friday, Aug. 29, at No. 21 Akron. Kickoff from FirstEnergy Field is set for 7 p.m.
