
Caldeira Named Forward to Watch by United Soccer Coaches

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men's soccer senior Marcus Caldeira has been named a forward to watch by United Soccer Coaches.
Caldeira has played in 63 games in three seasons with the Mountaineers with 57 starts. He has scored 28 goals, ninth most in WVU history, and dished out eight assists. In 2024, Caldeira scored 11 goals and was named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team. He was also named the College Sports Communicators Academic All-American of the Year.
In his career, Caldeira is a 2x All-America and 2x All-Sun Belt selection. The Mississauga, Ontario native was also selected 20th overall by Minnesota United FC in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft.
Caldeira and the Mountaineers will kick off the 2025 campaign on Thursday, Aug. 21 when they take on Manhattan at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
