MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Five student-athletes from the West Virginia University cross country and track & field teams were named to the 2025 CSC Academic All-District Women's Cross Country/Track and Field Teams, the College Sports Communicators announced on Tuesday.
Graduate students Ceili McCabe, Sarah Tait and Madison Trippett along with sophomores Lily Haught and Kishay Rowe earned the academic honor.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
McCabe (master's in sports coaching and education) earned her third straight CSC Academic All-District honor, while Tait (master's in sports management) added her second straight honor. Haught (marketing), Rowe (physical education and kinesiology) and Trippett (doctorate in pharmacy) all collected the accolade for the first time in their careers.
McCabe and Tait were selected as a finalist on the CSC Academic All-America ballot, as the first, second, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 15.
