Mountaineers Return Home to Face Kennesaw State

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team returns home for a three-game series with Kennesaw State, March 7-9. First pitch on Friday and Saturday are set for 2 p.m. with Sunday set to begin at noon.

Tickets are available at WVUGame.com, by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME or visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office at Kendrick Family Ballpark. Student tickets are free with a WVU ID. All three games will be available to stream on ESPN+ with live stats available at wvusports.com.

Promos for the weekend include Friday Happy Hour, a Mountaineers script fleece blanket giveaway on Saturday, and Camper Reunion Day on Sunday. It is also Family Day on Sunday where fans can get four tickets and a $10 concession voucher for just $35.

West Virginia is 12-0 on the season after sweeping at four-game series at Queens (N.C.). It is the fourth-best start in program history and the best since 1964. They are one of just five undefeated teams remaining this season along with Alabama, Florida State, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

The Mountaineer pitching staff has been stellar this season with a 2.66 ERA, eighth best in the nation and the top mark in the Big 12. Junior Carson Estridge has yet to allow a run in 15.0 innings while redshirt senior Griffin Kirn is the reigning Big 12 Co-Pitcher of the Week.

At the plate, senior Jace Rinehart is hitting .435 while senior Brodie Kresser is just behind him at .425. Ten different Mountaineers have hit a home run this season led by two from senior Grant Hussey, giving him 39 for his career, the most in WVU history.
