
No. 20 West Virginia Takes on Wyoming for Final Road Match

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 20 West Virginia University wrestling team faces Wyoming for its final road match of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m. ET at Uniwyo Sports Complex in Laramie, Wyoming.

West Virginia (9-6, 3-5 Big 12) snapped a losing skid against Utah Valley on Thursday night to be one win short of a double-digit win season. With a win, West Virginia would eclipse 10 wins for the third straight season, marking the first time it has accomplished that feat since the 1980s.
West Virginia won at least 10 matches from 1985-1988.
The Mountaineers were dominant in their most recent performance against Utah Valley, winning all but three matches.
Redshirt junior Jordan Titus and fifth-year Sam Hillegas had impressive performances as each recorded a win by technical fall. Fifth-year No. 3 Peyton Hall suffered his first loss of the season in a tight battle against No. 4 Terrell Barraclough in the 165-pound match.
West Virginia is 1-4 all-time against Wyoming in a series dating back to 2010. West Virginia's last win against the Cowboys came in 2020.
