MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Redshirt sophomore defender Roxanne Vilain and sophomore defender Nyema Ingleton of the West Virginia University women's soccer team have been called up to participate in training camps and friendly matches with their respective national teams.
Vilain was invited to attend her third training camp with the Haitian National Team in Morocco from Feb. 21-27. The squad will play against Morocco on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Ingleton was invited to her first training camp with the Jamaican National Team, taking place in Peru from Feb. 17-27. The team also has a pair of friendlies against Peru scheduled for Feb. 23 and Feb. 26.
During the 2024 campaign, Vilain played in 10 matches, starting eight, before sustaining a lower leg injury and missing the remainder of the season. A solid member of the WVU back line, she helped the Mountaineers notch four shutouts during her time on the pitch. Additionally, Vilain recorded 675 minutes of action during her first season with West Virginia.
As a sophomore in 2024, Ingleton returned from injury mid-way through the nonconference season, before solidifying her spot as a starter for WVU's defense and starting 12 of the 14 games she played in 2024. She logged 1,181 minutes to rank No. 10 on the team, while helping the Mountaineers notch four shutouts during her time on the field.
